Saint Cloud Blue & White Saucer #3

This is a superb saucer made by Saint Cloud during the first quarter of the 18th century. It is made of a creamy colored soft paste with an under glaze blue decoration that is quite nice. Softpaste porcelain has a charm to it unlike any other porcelain and is a must have for any collector! The saucer has a ribbed design to the paste in a section below the blue decoration and it has a little rim around the center well to keep the cup from moving around much like a trembleuse saucer. The piece is in great condition with just two small chips to the ring around the central well as shown. Neither takes away from the piece and it displays superbly and is just stunning! A few in the making flaws common to soft paste pieces of this period. Amazingly the pieces is marked with one of their under glaze blue marks as shown which is not common at all. The saucer is 1 inch tall and 4.875 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
