Saint Cloud Blue & White Saucer #2

This is a nice saucer made by Saint Cloud during the first quarter of the 18th century. It is made of a creamy colored soft paste with an under glaze blue decoration that is quite nice. Softpaste porcelain has a charm to it unlike any other porcelain and is a must have for any collector! The saucer has a ribbed design to the paste in a section below the blue decoration and it has a little rim around the center well to keep the cup from moving around much like a trembleuse saucer. The piece is in good condition with two small chips to the ring around the central well and two chips along the rim of the saucer as shown. It still displays nicely and is a great example to have in order to learn about soft paste porcelain. It also has a few in the making flaws common to soft paste pieces of this period. It is a marked example which is always a bonus! The saucer is 1 inch tall and 4.75 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $249
