Saint Cloud Rare Design Cup

This is a rare cup made by St-Cloud during the first quarter of the 18th century. It is made of a creamy colored soft paste with an unusual relief pattern to the paste in the form of a bird and flowers with its leaves. It has a simple but typical handle with a groove which is nice as many of their cups are handleless. I have not come across this pattern before by them but did find one set with it in a museum collection. Definitely uncommon unlike their more common prunus blossom design. The piece is in great condition with some firing flaws and the foot ring has some glaze issues and small chips though by the looks of it they are either from very early on or from when it was made. It is definitely a very early example for this maker! The cup is unmarked which is very common but unmistakably Saint Cloud ! The cup is 2.625 inches tall and 2.75 inches in diameter.
