Saint Cloud Cup & Saucer #3

This is a cup and saucer made by St-Cloud during the first quarter of the 18th century. It is made of a creamy colored softpaste with an underglaze blue decoration that is quite nice. This is a handled cup like one would use for coffee these days. The decorations on both peices match which isn't always the case with their wares. The cup and saucer also have a ribbed design to them and the saucer has a little rim around the center well to keep the cup from moving around too much. I guess a type of trembleuse. The set is in amazing condition with just a few tiny and normal manufacturing flaws like a small firing crack where the handle and cup meet on one side and a few small firing black spots and lumps and bumps normal on these early pieces. Both the cup and the saucer are marked which is not common at all and a nice addition to this already exquisite set. The cup is 2.625 inches tall and 2.875 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.25 inches tall and 4.625 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
