Pot a Pommade Lid

This is a lid for a pot a fard or pommade (for makeup or ointment) made by St-Cloud in the first half of the 18th century. It is made of a creamy colored softpaste with an under glaze blue decoration that is quite nice. Soft paste porcelain has a charm to it unlike any other porcelain and is a must have for the collector! The lid is in great condition with a chip to the edge from when it was made and thus glazed over. I have seen that a few times on their wares which I find a bit odd but I guess back then this was acceptable. Unmarked underneath which would be normal since it is just a lid but definitely made by them during this period! The lid is 0.875 inches tall without the ring on the underside and 2.625 inches in diameter. The ring on the underside that would sit inside its missing body is just under 0.25 inches tall with an outer diameter of 2.125 inches so your piece would need to have an opening of at least that or a touch bigger. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
