Fun Orange Vase

This is a really nice vase made by Sevres in 1832. Very similar to the Godronnee design of their dishes during this period. It has a ribbed / reeded type of design to the outside of the main body with a really superb orange ground color to it with the space between the raised part painted with a gold line. A handle to either side that are both fully gilded and arelly nice design to the neck area with a gold and platinum design. The edge of the flared top opening and where the foot meets the body has a green ground with a darger green design to it. Gold trim to the edge and foot. It a really unusual piece and that orange would fit in better with the 50s and a mid century modern decor than I would place into the 1830s. I really like it! The vase is in great condition with a small chip to the bottom edge gilded over from when it was made. I It displays perfectly but it might be the reason the Sevres mark was removed as the bottom is not glazed anymore but slightly matte because the glaze and any mark over that was removed. You still have their typical date codes, etc. showing it was made by Sevres but the mark is gone. The piece is 9.25 inches tall and 4.875 inches in diameter.
