Schoelcher Portrait Plate

This is a superb Empire Period plate made by Schoelcher in the early 19th century. It has an amazingly detailed gold trim design rim with an central scene reminiscent of a painting of the period. The piece looks stunning when on display! The scene is of superb quality with lots of detail and jsut the right amount of color to make this the perfect plate. The plate is in great condition with a tiny bit of wear but about as good a condition as one could wish for. It is marked underneath with the red Schoelcher a Paris mark as shown.
