Lady w/ Cupid Scene Plate

This is a great plate made by one of the Paris makers in the early 19th century. it has a typical rim design with a yellowish ground color with little torch, arrow and bow designs in brown on top and a gold ring as well as a thing red line trim on either side. The well is fully hand painted with a superb scene including lady (possibly Venus) sitting on the ground while Cupid / Amor is flying near her. Nice landscape all around and a building in the background. A very well painted piece that is nicer than many one comes across. The plate is in superb condition with just some minor use marks mainly to the gold trim around the well and a very minor touch of wear to the gilding along the outer edge. It displays perfectly! As is the norm the piece is unmarked except for an incised script letter W as shown. The plate is 1.25 inches tall and 9.125 inches in diameter.
