Battle Scene Plate

This is a plate made by one of the Paris makers in the early 19th century. It is superbly hand painted with a battle scene in the center including cavalry, buildings and greenery with a nice rim design and gilding to top it off. Looks to be the Napoleonic army against the Hussars bythe colors but it's a bit out of the realm of my expertise. Either way a really nice plate and a bit different from the more common landscape scenes. The plate displays nice and has no hairlines or chips but there must have been some wear or paint flaking which was painted in in spots most noticeably in the center of the building as well as the river the riders are going through in the foreground. Not exactly the best job ever but it's not all that obvious either. Some of the gilding was redone as well and there seems to be a general spray over it all though there is no restoration to the porcelain itself. As is the norm the piece is unmarked. It does have three stilt marks from the firing process. The plate is 1.125 inches tall and 9 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
