Woodgrain Scenic Saucer #3

This is a superb saucer made by Nymphenburg in the 18th century. It is hand painted with a wood grain design all around and a round scene in black in the center as wel as a nice design along the rim. Gold trim to the edge. This type of design was not used very often and only very few makers used it (i.e. Niderviller, Doccia, Royal Vienna and Nymphenburg). It is marked with the impressed shield mark as well as an impressed circle. The saucer is in superb condition with heavy wear to the gold trim on the edge and some wear in general but it display superbly as shown. The saucer is 1 inches tall and 5.5 inches in diameter.
