Winter Figural Bust

This is a nice bust / figurine made by Nymphenburg in the mid 20th century after originally being modeled by Franz Anton Bustelli in 1760. I have the original period piece as well on the site so it is a rare opportunity to compare these pieces! The bust is part of the four seasons set so I now need to find the other three :) The figure is of an old man dressed warmly with a muff in front of him. Long beard and a nice hat all on a fairly simple base with a nice design to the front including the shield mark in the center. The modelling by Bustelli is unbeatable! The figure is also marked with an impressed shield to the underside as well as the numbers 379 over 0 and Western Germany in green though part of that has rubbed off. The piece is about 5.25 inches tall with the base having a diameter of 3 inches. The figurine is in perfect condition even the little bow on top of the muff has no issues! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $249
