Holy Water Container

This is a rare holy water dish made by Nymphenburg in the 18th century. It is marked with the impressed shield as well as the artist mark Bis. This is the only known gold painted version according to the Nymphenburg expert. In great condition for the age with a small chip to one finger, a shallow chip to the side and some loss of gilding as can be expected on a piece this old. Spot in the back to hang it with a string or a nail. It is 7.25 inches tall, 4.25 inches wide and 2.25 inches deep. Latin inscription in relief that is gilded to the front - Ego sum via vita veritas ((something like I am the way, the life, and the truth). Please email me for more information or other pictures.
