Small Fancy Basket

This is a cute small basket made by Nymphenburg in the late 19th century. I have not come across this model before but I really like it. Perfect size for use around the house without taking up too much room. The piece is quite fancy with lots of scrolls to the outsidewith gold highlights, four areas with little cutouts, a large floral hand painted arrangement to the front and back, the sides with three single hand painted flowers to them, four hand painted single flowers to the inside and a leaf to the inside bottom. A bit hard to describe all the details so have a look at the pictures. It's a nice looking little piece! The underside is marked with the 19th century blue shield and crown mark as well as some numbers as shown. The basket is in superb condition with just a touch of wear to the gilding. The piece is 3.875 inches tall, 8.75 inches wide and 5.5 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
