Original Redo of Amphitrite Figurine

This is a figurine of Amphitrite made by Nymphenburg in the late19th / early 20th century when Nymphenburg just started redoing the original 18th century models. Since they made them from mold of the original figurines after firing they ended up smaller because of shrinkage. After this they redid the molds to make sure they were the same size as the original ones. So these smaller versions are rather hard to come by. Here we have the Greek goddess modeled as a young lady with a cloth partially covering her, some flowers in her right hand, a flower in her hair and a trident on the base by her feet. She was the goddess of the sea and wife to the better known Poseidon. The figure is in great condition with a rough spot to the flower in her hair but it looks to be from when she was made. The figurine is marked underneath with the impressed shield mark as well as an incised number 94 as shown. The figurine is 3.375 inches tall, 1.625 inches wide and 1.625 inches deep.
