Woodgrain Scenic Sugar Dish

This is a superb lidded sugar dish made by Nymphenburg in the 18th century. It is handpainted with a woodgrain design all around and two scenes in puce each on the lid and main body. This type of design was not used very often and only very few makers used it (i.e. Niderviller, Doccia, Royal Vienna and Nymphenburg). The dish is marked with the impressed shield mark as well as an incised 1. It is in superb condition with some wear to the gold trim on the rims and finial. The sugar including lid is 2.5 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
