Poppies Demitasse Cup & Saucer

This is a really nice demitasse cup and saucer made by Nymphenburg in the late 20th century - 1997 to be exact. Can be used for mocha or espresso coffee or just for show :) The set is hand painted with an orange poppy flower design including the blossoms, buds and seed pod once flowering is done. The stalks go from them to the rim and form a green trim with dark purple trim to the spots that bump out a bit from the rim along the saucer edge and two spots along the top of the cup. Superb handle to the cup with a bit of green trim to it. A stunning design that was made for their 250 year anniversary! They still got it! :) I just love this little set! The cup is 2.125 inches tall and 2.5 inches in diameter. The saucer is 0.625 inches tall and 4.625 inches in diameter. Both pieces are in perfect condition. They are marked underneath with the green shield mark with the name Nymphenburg underneath that, the puce year marks for 1747 and 1997 for the year they started and 250 years after that and the usual impressed and painted numbers and letters as shown.
