Kings Service Dinner Plate #2

This is a hard to find dinner plate made by Nymphenburg in the 20th century. It is from the King's or Perl service made for the electoral court around 1792-1795 designed originally by Dominikus Auliczek. The original set is still in the possession of the family and thus any pieces of this design are later copies. The large plate is 12 sided and has the perl design to the very edge (refers to the little blue perls painted on). It is hand painted with a scene in black in the center of the Apollotempel - a structure in the Schlosspar Nymphenburg in Munich . The plate has some superb gold and blue trim to finish it off perfectly. The plate is 1.25 inches tall and 10.125 inches in diameter. It is marked with the underglaze printed shield mark with the word Nymphenburg underneath, the impressed shield mark, the usual numbers and the title to the scene in the front - Apollotempel . The piece is in perfect condition. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $749
