King's Service Soup Plate #1

This is a hard to find soup plate made by Nymphenburg in the 20th century. It is from the King's or Pearl service made for the electoral court around 1792-1795 designed originally by Dominikus Auliczek. The original set is still in the possession of the family and thus any pieces of this design are later copies. The large plate is 12 sided and has the pearl design to the very edge (refers to the little blue pearls painted on). It is hand painted with a scene in black in the center this one probably being the perfect scene if you had to pick any one of them - Nymphenburg castle :) And to finish of a perfect design there is lots of gold and blue trim. The plate is 1.75 inches tall and 9.875 inches in diameter. It is marked with the underglaze printed shield mark with the word Nymphenburg underneath, the impressed shield mark, a black o.L which is probably a painter's mark and the title to the scene in the front - Schloss Nymphenburg (Parkseite) from the park side. The piece is in perfect condition. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $699
