King's / Pearl Service Sugar Dish

This is a hard to find lidded sugar bowl dish made by Nymphenburg in the later 20th century. It is from the King's / Pearl service made for the electoral court around 1792-1795 designed originally by Dominikus Auliczek . The original set is still in the possession of the family and thus any pieces of this design are later versions. The pot is 12 sided and both the lid and main body are decorated with some fancy raised design to the paste highlighted with gilding, three hand painted black scenes as well as a superb gold and blue trim. Nice finial shape and off course the blue "pearls" along the edge of the lid which gives the service it's name. This is truly a very stunning and popular design and these main pieces are quite hard to find! The sugar dish is 4.25 inches tall and 4.375 inches in diameter. The piece is marked with their green shield mark under a crown with the name Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg around it and the letter F plus some gold numbers and the usual impressed shield mark with an impressed letter and number next to it as shown. The bowl and lid are in perfect condition. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
