Neudeck Urn

This is a neat little urn on a pedestal with greenery in it made in Neudeck before they moved to Nymphenburg around 1755. I have not seen a painted version of this but the white version is shown in the Nymphenburg book by Alfred Ziffer. The piece is nicely painted in a nice blue with gold highlights and the leaves are painted in green. It is a very well modeled piece and quite elegant when on display. Add the age to that and this is one rare and superb piece! The base and urn are in great condition with just one teeny chip to a corner. The greenery has chips and I believe there was another layer on top of this one once upon a time to there probably was a taller plant in it. The piece is marked with the impressed shield mark underneath but you can just see the outline and even that is not complete. Certainly a very early piece and probably RS3. There are some number written underneath - not sure if they are original or from a collector later on. The entire piece is 4.75 inches tall, 2 inches wide and 2 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $1499
