Sieck Lakeview Scene Dinner Plate

This is a really nice dinner plate made by Nymphenburg in the early 20th century during the original period in about 1906-1908. I think it is very special since I cannot find this designs in the books where all the other ones are shown nor anywhere else. The plate blank design itself is from the Pearl service with those little "pearls" along the edge - it is an old design dating back to the 18th century. The central painting however was first done by Rudolf Sieck around 1906/1908. It is titled View on the lake with some other writing under that I cannot figure out - a very Art Nouveau feel design of a birch tree in af field of flowers and grasses along a lake with more trees in the back ground as well as some mountains. The blue sky has some clouds in it. There is a nice gold trim along the edge of the well. Also special is that it was definitely painted by Rudolf Sieck himself since it is signed RS on the bottom right hand side as shown. The plate is 1.25 inches tall and 9.875 inches in diameter. It is well marked with the printed shield mark with the word Nymphenburg underneath, the impressed shield mark, as well as Blick am See v. Rur. Seite (?) in script. The last few words I cannot figure out. The piece displays superbly but sadly has a chip to mainly the udnerside rim as shown from both sides. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
