King's / Pearl Service Serving Tray

This is probably the central piece for this service - a serving tray made by Nymphenburg in the 20th century. It is from the King's or Perl service made for the electoral court around 1792-1795 designed originally by Dominikus Auliczek. The original set is still in the possession of the family and thus any pieces of this design are later copies. The platter is oval in shape but still has the typical sides to it - 16 in this case rather than the usual 12. A nice handle to each side all with the typical "pearls" as well as the blue and gold trim. The center is hand painted with a large scene in black surrounded by a gold and blue trim. The scene is of Schloss Nymphenburg which is fitting :) The piece is 1.5 inches tall at the handles, about 18.5 inches wide and 12.5 inches deep. It is marked with the impressed shield mark on the underside as well as the number 792, Schloss Nymphenburg in black and some red numbers. The piece is in perfect condition with some minor scratches to the gilding. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $2999
