Fruit Scene Oval Dish

This is a superb oval tray or serving dish made by Nymphenburg in the 18th century. It is hand painted with a very nice fruit scene in the center including a cut open pear, some berries and leaves. a thin gold ring around the edge of the well and gold trim to the edge. Lots of scattered single flowers and berries fill the rest of the bttom and rim area. A really nice looking dish! The piece is marked with the impressed shield mark as well as an impressed letter I (I think) and number 4 as shown. It is in great condition with some minor factory flaws common to their early wares, a touch of wear to the gilding and some chipping to one area of the foot ring as shown. All in all as nice as it gets and a superb example of their early work! The dish is 1.5 inches tall, 10.875 inches wide and 8.375 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $699
