Floral Reticulated Basket

This is a superb reticulated oval basket made by Nymphenburg in the late 20th century. The blank design is from the King's / Pearl service made for the electoral court around 1792-1795 designed originally by Dominikus Auliczek but isntead of being painted with scenes and blue and gold trim this example here is hand painted with flowers. The bottom inside has a large floral arrangement to it as well as two small single flowers, there are two inside panels hand painted with floral arrangements and the outside of each of those panels is hand painted with two small single flowers. Gold trim throughout the reticulated areas. A really ncie looking basket and a nice sized one as well. The has a really nice shape to it as well being 12 sided. The piece is 3 inches tall, 9.5 inches wide and 7.755 inches deep. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue shield mark with the word Nymphenburg underneath. A bit hard to see. Also some purple numbers as shown and an impressed shield mark with with the numbers 669 over 3 as shown. The basket is in great condition with just a small firing crack to the bottom edge from when it was made as shown. Does not affect the piece at all and it displays perfectly.
