Egg Seller Lady Figurine

This is a rare figurine from the street seller series first modeled by Bustelli in 1758 and made by Franz Anton Bustelli by Nymphenburg in about 1770. She is known as Eiergretl in German and is of a nicely dressed lady bending down to lift the moss covering her eggs in the crate beside her. Typical simple base for Nymphenburg which brings out the figurine perfectly! The modelling by Bustelli is unbeatable and to have an 18th century figure in perfect condition is very very rare. One almost never finds the 18th century versions but the modern ones are still super popular and you can find them easily. The figure is marked on top of the base in the little scroll jutting out in front of the base. A bit hard to see but it is there. The piece also has an incised 76 on the underside. The figure is 5.5 inches tall, 3.5 inches wide and 3.5 inches deep. She is In superb condition with a small black firing spot over her left breast and a filled firing crack in a fold in the back of her dress as shown. All original to the piece and no real damage which is amazing! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $14999
