Damaged Scenic Plate

This is a superb scenic plate made by Nymphenburg in the 18th century probably fairly close to their beginnings. A typical shape with one of their nicest decorations in the center of a hand painted scene in green tones with a floral and gold design around it. The rim has a green and gold leaf garland design to it with some gold trim. Gold trim to the edge which is also a nice shape and not just plain round. The plate is marked with the impressed shield mark but it is very faint and almost impossible to see. The plate is in OK condition and displays nicely but sadly has a crack all the way across with chipping to the one end and a small sliver missing on the other end. It is perfectly glued together though I am not sure how that was done as it looks old. I am sure a good restorer could brings this piece back to perfection easily and it is well worth it! The plate is 1.625 inches tall and 9.875 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $399
