Bust of Child

This is a very famous bust of a child (believed to be Friedrich August der Starke aka Frederick the Strong) made by Franz Anton Bustelli in 1760 (that's when it was first mentioned) in Neudeck before they were moved to Nymphenburg. It is marked with the RS2 or RS3 mark and signed with the initials F.B so he himself made this piece! Painted with an attention to detail not found in many other pieces of porcelain in the world. It is 10.25 inches tall, 6 inches wide and 5 inches deep. In superb condition for what a piece like this has been through. Think of all the wars, etc. I wish it could tell its story :) He has a small firing crack in the base, some scratches in the face, a chip of the bow in the back, a chip of the scroll work in the back and two small nicks of the edge by the left shoulder. Some of the green paint has flaked off and a bit of wear to the gold but all in all in amazing condition. This is the earliest of these pieces as the base is still closed and the air holes go all around not just in the front. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
