Lady with Fan

This is a superb figurine of a lady made by Nymphenburg in the 19th century. The piece was made from the mold of the original figurines from the 18th century and is thus smaller than the original figurines since porcelain shrinks during the firing process. This was before Baeuml had the pieces remodeled so they'd be the same size as the original pieces. The figure is of a lady wearing a fancy skirt for a ball and holding a fan in her right hand. The figurine was off course originally modeled by Bustelli and was left in the white to show off all that nice modeling detail! She is marked with the impressed shield mark from around the mid to later 19th century - often found with a star above the mark but not here. No impressed numbers were used then but he does have an incised 2 or 7 depending on how you look at it. She is 5.25 inches tall, 6.25 inches wide and 3 inches deep. The figure is in perfect condition and came with her matching gentleman that I have on the site as well if anyone is interested in a pair. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $249
