Bird Scene Inkwell

This is a fun Art Nouveau period inkwell stand made by Nymphenburg in the early 20th century. The nicely shaped stand is hand painted with a nice bird on a tree scene surrounded by a trellis with flowers and some scattered flowers throughout. Gold trim to the edges and the finial. The main body of the inkwell is part of the tray but the insert and lid can be removed as shown. All pieces are in great condition with some wear to the gold trim. A very elegant set! The set is about 3.25 inches tall, 9 inches wide and 5.875 inches deep. It is marked with the underglaze printed shield mark with the word Nymphenburg underneath, the impressed shield mark, the usual impressed numbers and some painter's marks as shown.
