18th Century Design Modern Plate #1

This is a dinner plate made by Nymphenburg in the early 20th century. In terms of design this piece is as typical as you get by them. I have an 18th century piece very similar to this plate so this is a very early design for this maker. The plate is hand painted with a large floral arrangement to one side of the center well with two tiny flowers filling is the rest of the well. The rim has four smaller flowers in the small sections of the rim and four larger flowes filling the larger sections with a gold trim to the nicely shape edge. One tiny lonely flower along the edge of the well possibly hiding a flaw underneath - a common practise back in the day. A stunning looking plate and much cheaper than the 18th century version :) The plate is marked with the impressed shield mark underneath as well as the green shield under the crown mark with Nymphenburg under it and some painted numbers as shown. It is in superb condition with just a flaw in the painting on the large yellow flower - almost looks like they stacked the plate before it was all dry but that can't be. It displays perfectly and looks great! The plate is 1.25 inches tall and 9.875 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $149
