Nast Butterfly Cup & Saucer

This is a superb cup and saucer made by Nast in the early 19th century. Nast was one of the top Paris area makers of this period and this cup is a superb example of why! It is hand painted with butterflies all around surrounded by gilding, the the rest of the pieces having a salmony colored ground with lots more nice gilding on top of that. Each butterfly is of superb quality and the set is just one of those pieces that makes you smile. The cup is fully gilded on the inside as well. This set is in perfect condition with some very minimal wear and some spotting to the bottom inside of the cup. The set displays perfectly! Each piece is marked with the Nast a Paris gold colored mark as shown. The cup is 2.5 inches tall and 2.375 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter.
