Superbly Gilded Saucer

This is a nice saucer made by Mintons of England between 1891 and 1902. It seems to be for a demitasse type cup. The piece is decorated with a very fancy gold design around the well on a light yellow ground with a gold trim to the edge that has a raised design to it. One sees this type of decoration on plates more than on cups and saucers but it would ahve been a stunning set if it still had its cup! Even without it it still has that special feeling to it. The saucer is 4.375 inches in diameter and 0.625 inches tall. It is in superb condition with just the slightest of wear plus a small chip to the foot ring and is marked with their puce mark as shown including MINTONS in the center of a globe, ENGLAND to the sides and a crown above with the retailer in NY it was made for. Also some red numbers and another mark. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $129
