Early Cup & Saucer

This is a superb cup and saucer made by Minton in about 1805. The set is hand painted with a nice chinoiserie design with a figure standing on a bridge with buildings to eitehr side and a nice landscape surrounding. Gold trim to the edge. A very typical design for their early period and really quite nice! The cobalt blue color is is raised compared to the other enamel colors and they are bright and cheerful. Gold highlights to the blue. The set is in superb condition with just a minor touch of wear to the gilding on the edges. As perfect as they come! The cup is 2.25 inches tall and has a diemter at the top of 3.25 inches. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and has a diameter of 5.5 inches. Both pieces are marked underneath with their earliest mark reminiscent of the Meissen crossed swords or Sevres mark with the letter M under it and the model number 816. A really nice cup and saucer! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
