Blackberry Scene Plate

This is a superb plate made by Minton but I am unsure when. The puce markw as used from 1891 until 1912. The date code is an impressed oval with a cross in it with one line across one of the pieces of the cross. Cannot find anything like it. Nor can I find any info on the artist even though the piece is signed. Either way it is an amazing plate with the rim eing decorated in their famous turquoise ground color with raised white enamel dots udrrouned by tiny blue dots. Very reminiscent of Sevres. There are reticulated areas to the rim highlighted with some fancy gilding. The center of the plate is hand painted with a ascene of a blackberry branch including the thorns, leaves, fruit in various stages of ripeness and blossoms. The rest of the scene has some yellow flowers and different greenery to it, The style reminds me of Charles Ferdinand Hürten at Copeland. Truly an amzing plate! It is signed near the edge by some of the leaves with what looks to be P Walklett. I cannot find anything about that person either. Could be F. Walklett as well I guess. The plate has a great combination of colors and quality. It looks stunning! It is 0.875 inches tall and 9.125 inches in diameter. It is in super condition with almost no use marks or wear at all. Displays perfectly. There are some firing imperfections to the underside edge of the rim as shown from when it was made. Nothing that affects the piece at all. It is marked underneath with the puce Mintons England globe mark as shown as well assome painted marks and the usual impressed marks though they are not helping me at all this time. These plates are really hard to find and it is just superb! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
