Girls & Pets Figurine

This is a great bisquit / unglazed porcelain figural spill vase most likely made by Minton in the 19th century. It is a figure of two girls with their two pets. The girls are sitting on a nice base with some scrolls to the edge and a vase in the back in the shape of a tree trunk. The one girl has a bowl in her lap with the dog sitting on its hind legs in front of her begging. The other girl is leaning on the tree trunk with the cat in front of her eating out of a bowl. The figurine is superbly modeled with lots of detail which is only made better by it being unglazed since the glaze usually hides some of the minute details. The piece e is in great condition with some staining typical of this type of ware, the top hand of the girl on the left is chipped, the right ear of the cat is chipped and I think the girl by the cat was holding something in her left hand. A firing flaw to the underside edge as shown. None of these issues are obvious and the piece displays superbly! The figurine is just under 5 inches tall, 5.75 inches wide and 4 inches deep. The base is not marked but there are few makers that could have made a piece of this quality in this style. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
