Birks Pate sur Pate Plate #2

This is a very detailed pate-sur-pate plate made by Mintons in the early 20th century - can't quite figure out this date code so not sure of the exact year. It has three different scenic panels in the pate sur pate technique on the rim and a nice gold trim to make this one very elegant plate. Each scene is very detailed with cherubs doing different things in the raised white paste with a blueish background color. Each of these was painted by Albion Birks a student of the famous Marc Louis Solon . Two of the scenes are simply signed AB while one is signed A. Birks. The plate is of a nice size being 1 inch tall and 10.25 inches in diameter. It is in perfect condition with some use marks in the clear glaze of the center which can only be seen when held up to the light at the right angle. They were meant to be used after all :) It is marked underneath with impressed Mintons as well as their typical date cyphers and the puce Minton mark with England underneath used from 1912 to the 50's I believe. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
