Superb Figural Lady Sweetmeat Dish

This is a superb figural sweetmeat dish made by Meissen in the 19th century. One of the nicest I have ever seen! Very nicely modeled with a lady figurine holding a basket in front of her while lying on a base with gold and turquoise trim along the edge. The lady is nicely dressed with a fancy skirt hand painted with lots of flowers and a blue cloth draped around her top. Head scarf on her head. The basket on these pieces if mot often solid but here is is reticulated with a nice floral arrangement in the bottom center and lots of applied 3D flowers to the outside as shown. Some gold trim to it as well. A really stunning piece and I ahve the matching male version to her as well if anyone would like a pair of these. The piece is in amazing condition with just a touch of damage to the 3D flowers which is normal. Four leaves are chipped and one petal plus a stem as far as I can tell. The piece displays perfectly! The figure is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark, the usual impressed / incised numbers as well as a painters mark in form of a blue 81 as shown. The piece is about 4 inches tall, 6.75 inches wide and 4 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
