Miniature Stork w/ Baby

This is a super cute miniature bird figurine made by Meissen in the later 19th century. It is of a stork holding a swaddled baby in its beak.. The figure is nicely modeled standing on a base with some grasses painted on it and some tall grass under him. Hand painted with lots of detail! Quite the delicate and elegant little guy! This would make a superb present to someone who is having a baby or a first time grandma :) The figurine is in great condition and is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark as well as the usual impressed and incised marks as shown.The piece is 2.125 inches tall, 1.125 inches wide and 1.75 inches deep.
