Set of 6 Fish Scene Plates

This is a rare set of 6 fish design plates made by Meissen in the late 19th century or early 20th century. Each plate is hand painted with a different detailed fish scene in the center with a slight water effect around it as well as a green grass or algae grass as part of the scene. The nicely shaped rim has a basket weave design to the paste with gold trim to the edge as well as some bugs / red corral hand painted on it. Each plate is in perfect condition (with the occasional minor black firing spot from when they were made - very normal) and they are all first choice. Each is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark underneath as well as the usual impressed numbers as shown. They are about 1.25 inches tall and 9.875 inches in diameter. I have a few more of these plates if anyone is interested in a larger set - just let me know. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $2999
