Leaf Relief Decoration Plate

This is a decorative serving plate made by Meissen in the mid to late 19th century. It is decorated with a relief design of grape vines including their leaves and bunches of grapes. In the center there are larger white leaves with smaller ones towards the edge on two sides. In between the leaves there is a rich cobalt blue ground color and the smaller leaves are gilded as are the grapes. Really a nice look and not one see often. Obviously the plate was much loved and used and thus the gilding is worn but there are no chips, cracks, etc. The cobalt blue and gold combination always looks amazing! The plate is marked with the under glaze crossed swords mark underneath as well as the usual impressed / incised numbers, etc. as shown. The piece is 1.5 inches tall and has a diameter of 10 inches.
