Kaier Wilhelm II Royalty Breakfast Cup & Saucer

This is a cup and saucer made by Meissen in 1913/1916 for the personal use of Kaiser Wilhelm the Second. Quite rare as he preferred the ones made by KPM of which I own a few (not to say those are common either! A great cup and saucer that is huge in size so likely a breakfast set decorated in the Alt Brandenstein Pattern with a relief design to the rim with four bugs in between, a large central floral arrangement to the saucer and four larger flower arrangements to the cup as well as some scattered smaller flowers. Gold trim to the edges and handle. What makes this piece special besides being a nicely done piece is the fact that it was made for the Kaiser and both pieces have his personal monogram on the underside! The set is in perfect condition. The saucer is 1.375 inches tall and has a diameter of 7 inches. The cup is 2.5 inches tall and has a diameter of 4.5 inches. Both are marked underneath with the underglaze blue crossed swords as well as the usual impressed numbers common to Meissen pieces of this period and off course the WR under a crown and the year 1913 / 1916 under that. Also a blakc painter's mark. The year marks are different because there would have been a lot of these cups in their pantry and they would get mixed up no big deal. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
