Superb Platinum Flowers Charger

This is a rare large plate / charger made by Meissen in the late 19th century. It is hand painted with one of the nicest and also rarest decorations from this period - the platinum and gold flowers on a cobalt blue background. I am pretty sure the flowers are Edelweiss . The edge has three different relief designs - two are of relief flower arrangements highlighted with gilding with a trellis design in between them also highlighted with gilding and lots of relief scrolls all around with more gilding to them. A stunning looking plate! The plate is in superb condition with just a few spots of minor wear to the very edge. It displays perfectly! The plate is marked with the under glaze crossed swords mark underneath as well as the usual impressed numbers, etc. as shown. The piece is 1.5 inches tall and has a diameter of 11.25 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $1249
