Pineapple & Shrimp Design Plate

This is a great plate made by Meissen in the late 19th century or early 20th century. It is hand painted with a superb scene in the center including an unpeeled shrimp, a small pineapple as well as some greenery. This is only the second time I have seen shrimp painted on porcelain so it was a must have for me :) The painting is of superb quality and there is a simple gold trim to the nicely shaped edge. The rim has a basket weave relief design to it. The piece is in perfect condition and is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark (first choice) underneath as well as the usual impressed mark as shown. It is 1.25 inches tall and 9.875 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
