Pierced Blue/White Spoon

This is a neat spoon made by Meissen in the 19th century. It is marked underneath where the bowl and the handle meet with the underglaze blue crossed swords mark. The spoon is handpainted with the strawflower pattern a well as some nice blue highlights on the handle design. Neat that the bowl is pierced with lots of holes to drain out liquid from some sort of food. Not sure what it's official purpose was. The spoon is in perfect condition with one thin spot of glaze wear on a ridge inside the bowl part. It is 8.375 inches long. The bowl is 2.625 inches long, 1.875 inches wide and about 1 inch high.
