Large Reticulated Basket

This is a fancy and large reticulated basket made by Meissen in the 20th century. The basket is superbly modeled with the sides heavily reticulated with a panel of small single flowers in the center. The inside bottom has a lots of single flowers scattered about as well as two more to either side. Each side has a handle in the shape of a branch that goes down to form the feet. The outside of the basket has some gold trim and lots of applied 3D flowers and their leaves visible in the pictures. Some are over painted to hide them quite well. It's a nciely done piece and it looks great! The basket is in great display condition with the usual damage to the applied flowers and leaves but they are pretty minor and this example is in better shape than most. One paint flake to a foot as well as shown. The basket is larger than most being 5.5 inches tall, 10.25 inches wide and 14.25 inches long. It is marked with the under glaze blue crossed sword mark underneath as well as the usual impressed number as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $1249
