Large Knife As Is

This is a nice porcelain handled knife made by Meissen in the late 19th century. The porcelain handle is hand painted with two very nice floral arrangements as well as a two single flowers, two bugs and the a gold trim near the ferrule part. The ferrule appears to be made of silver and the blade is made from steel. Nice shape to the blade. The piece is not marked but that is normal as the mark would be where the ferrule is placed. The quality of the hand painted flwoers easily gives this away as a Meissen example! The knife displays nicely but there are some use marks and oxidation to the metal parts and the porcelain handle has some tight hairlines to it as shown. It displays nicely but it's sadly damaged even if its hard to spot. It still is solid and still a nice example and a beautiful design to find on a knife! The piece is about 9.75 inches long with the visible porcelain being about 3.5 inches long. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
