Floral Dresser Box

This is a really nice dresser / patch / jewelry box made by Meissen in the early 19th century or early 20th century. The top as well as the inside lid and all four sides are hand painted with really nice floral arrangements and the lid and main body are connected with brass mounts. A bit of gold trim to the edges. Not easy to find a hinged box of this size at all. The box is in great condition with wear to the gold trim around the edge of the lid which was meant to make the mount porcelain interface a bit smoother. Some wear to the glaze of the underside and some oxidation to the brass mounts. Some of the oxidation has runed the unglazed top edge of the inside bottom a bit green. Could be cleaned up I assume but is fine as is. All in all in superb shape for the age! The piece is marked to the inside back of the main part which is nice as many were not marked. The box is 2.5 inches tall, 5.5 inches wide and 4 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
