Goat Spilled Milk Figurine

This is a fun figurine of a goat that spilled its milk made by Meissen in the 20th century. Super cute! The piece is superbly modeled and hand painted with lots of detail. The goat has its front legs standing on top of a turned over bowl with a large chip missing on one side and the milk it conatained having spilled into the cetner of the base. The bowl is even decorated with a blue floral strawflower type design and their trademark under glaze blue crossed swords! This version is really nicely painted with perfectly places area of color like the face, hoofs and belly as well as the tail. The spilled milk on the base sticks out more than on some other examples I have seen. Just a superb piece! The figure is in perfect condition which is always a bonus - first choice but there is a black firing spot on its side as shown. Should not have been first chocie but I have seen worse slide through their system. It's all aprt of the charm in my book and looks amazing! The figure is 5.5 inches tall, 2.75 inches wide and 4.75 inches long. The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark as well as the usual impressed letters and numbers, etc. as shown. I believe it was first modeled by Model Erich Hösel in 1904. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
