Fruit Scene Bruehlsches Allerlei Plate #2

The plate is a superb plate made by Meissen in the late 19th century. It has a rim design called Brühlsches Allerei which includes a large hand painted fruit arrangement in the center which is much rarer than the flower ones and it has three little bugs / butteflies around it. Off course it has the very fancy reticulated rim with lots of flowers and gold highlights which gives it its name. Each reticulated area is different with three that are more plain with just a touch of gilding and three more that are in the shape of a floral arrangement with each flower hand painted perfectly! The Bruehlsches Allerlei design is one of the nicest rim designs one can own by Meissen - it was originally made for Count von Bruehl . The edge has a gold trim to it. The plate is in perfect condition which is always a bonus. It is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark as well as the usual impressed numbers one find on Meissen of this period as shown. The plate is 1.625 inches tall and 10.25 inches in diameter which is a very nice size.

Price is $999
