Reticulated Floral Plate w/Birds #2

This is a second superb plate made by Meissen in the later 19th century. It is hand painted with a detailed floral arrangement in the center that fills most of the well and is surrounded by three little yet superb birds as well as two butterflies / bugs and a fancy gold trim around the well edge but the most fun part is the fancy reticulated rim with lots of flowers and gold highlights. This is probably one of the nicest rim designs you can own by Meissen and is called Bruehlsches Allerlei as it was originally made for Count von Bruehl. The plate is in perfect condition which is astounding given the fragile nature and design. It is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark (first choice) underneath as well as the usual impressed marks one finds on Meissen of this period. The plate is 1.5 inches tall and 10.25 inches in diameter so the larger version of this style. It looks amazing when on display! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $1249
